Trillium Health Partners is a teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Toronto and home to the Institute for Better Health, the hospital’s research, and innovation engine. It is also the regional specialist for over 14 programs such as cardiac, cancer, stroke, neurology, mental health and so much more. Our doctors and nurses partner with your local hospital to offer highly complex care.

Our fundraising milestones include securing the largest donation ever made to a hospital in Canada by Peter Gilgan and the Peter Gilgan Foundation of $105 million to help build the future home of The Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital. We also secured the largest corporate match by Orlando Corporation of $75 million to support development of the new hospital, mental health and research and innovation.

THE ROLE

The Senior Associate, Marketing plays a key role in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that support fundraising, donor engagement, community awareness, and organizational growth. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing, this position leads the planning, delivery, and optimization of multi-channel marketing campaigns, working closely with internal stakeholders, hospital partners, vendors, and agencies.

The successful candidate combines strategic thinking with strong project management and analytical skills to drive campaign performance, strengthen brand visibility, and support fundraising objectives. This role requires an experienced marketing professional who can manage multiple priorities, influence cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality marketing initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns that align with organizational priorities and fundraising objectives.
  • Develop campaign briefs, implementation plans, content recommendations, and project schedules.
  • Plan and coordinate marketing initiatives across multiple channels, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Apply audience insights, market research, and campaign performance data to optimize marketing strategies and outcomes.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all communications and marketing materials.
  • Lead marketing projects from concept through execution, coordinating internal teams, external agencies, and vendors.
  • Build strong partnerships with fundraising, philanthropy, donor experience, communications, digital, and hospital stakeholders.
  • Facilitate project meetings, provide status updates, and ensure accountability for deliverables and timelines.
  • Present recommendations, campaign results, and strategic insights to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement of marketing processes, workflows, and project management practices.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and campaign metrics to assess effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop reports and actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Use data-driven approaches to optimize campaign performance, audience engagement, and return on investment.
  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to inform campaign planning and business decisions.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, media partners, creative vendors, and other external suppliers.
  • Oversee vendor contracts, project estimates, invoices, and performance expectations.
  • Support the development and management of marketing budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor spending and campaign ROI to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Support the development and execution of content strategies that enhance brand awareness and engagement.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce compelling marketing materials and storytelling content.
  • Ensure all communications adhere to organizational brand standards and best practices.
  • Stay informed on emerging marketing trends, technologies, and fundraising practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, campaign management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Experience working with external agencies, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholder groups.
  • Experience supporting fundraising, nonprofit, healthcare, or mission-driven organizations is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy, campaign planning, audience segmentation, and brand management.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting campaign data and translating insights into action.
  • Experience developing reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Proficiency with digital marketing, content management systems, analytics platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
