About The Role

As the EHS Head, you will play a vital role in overseeing and implementing effective Environment, Safety, and Health (EHS) practices within our factory operations. Your primary responsibility is to create and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. This role is crucial in driving our commitment to sustainability and employee well-being.

  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and documentation of all EHS-related incidents.
  • Train and educate employees on EHS practices, promoting a culture of safety and awareness.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of EHS data, including incident reports, inspections, and training records.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into new projects and processes.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in EHS management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure proper waste management and disposal practices are followed, in line with environmental regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar EHS leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or food industry setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, particularly those applicable to factory operations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful EHS programs and initiatives.
  • Proficiency in using EHS management software and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits, audits, and training purposes.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to EHS management.
