About The Role

The Maintenance Lead will play a crucial role in managing and improving the site's maintenance operations. They will be accountable for developing and implementing preventive maintenance systems, optimizing utility performance, and driving cost-saving initiatives. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to ensure the site's smooth operation and compliance with statutory norms.

  • Manage and oversee all site maintenance activities, including equipment and utility operations.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance system for the plant.
  • Create weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly job plans and coordinate their execution with relevant teams.
  • Analyze OEE data and conduct root cause analysis for repetitive problems, developing action plans.
  • Implement cost-saving measures through improved manufacturing efficiency, yield control, and spare cost management.
  • Monitor and optimize energy consumption, identifying opportunities for resource savings.
  • Manage spare part inventory and ensure complete control over line and utility equipment spares.
  • Ensure compliance with Factory Act norms, pollution control, and environmental policies, and liaise with government officers.
  • Monitor and improve the performance of utility equipment, including air compressors, chilling plants, and HVAC systems.
  • Support and guide the team, providing technical guidance, on-the-job training, and skill development initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7-12 years of experience in maintenance, utility, and automation processes, with preference given to the food industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical asset care processes.
  • Experience in plant automation, PLC/SCADA programming, and equipment efficiency management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive capability programs.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing site processes and systems, including ERP/SAP.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with good problem-solving skills and a focus on innovation management.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and safety-conscious approach to work, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
