Orthopedic Department /Hand Upper Extremity Division (Urgent) - Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Responsibilities

NP/PA

FT position available, primarily days. Ortho hand/ED experience preferred but will consider new graduates. Work collaboratively with busy orthopedic surgeons, APP’s, and all members of the health care team to provide high quality care to outpatient urgent hand/ upper extremity patients (pediatric and adults) at our new orthopedic building at Marketplace. Strong communication and clinical skills required. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training. Must be eligible for billing.

Nurse Practitioner

Require a Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner, an active New York State Registered Nurse license in good standing, an active New York State Nurse Practitioner licensure in good standing and current national certification as an Nurse Practitioner.

Physician Assistant

Required completion of an ARC-PA approved Physician Assistant program, an active New York State Physician Assistant licensure in good standing and current national certification as a Physician Assistant by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants)

NPs and PAs will demonstrate clinical competence, superior verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal effectiveness and customer relation skills, computer competence and must have an active desire to learn. The APP will participate in the education of learners (students and new employees), using clinical learning experiences, knowledge sharing and skill training.
