Position Overview

  • The Staff Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of
  • Safetrust, Inc. located in the U.S. while ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements
  • and alignment with GAAP.
  • This role owns the day-to-day general ledger accounting operations of the company, including
  • bank and credit card reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed asset
  • management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accountant who thrives in a fast-paced
  • environment, and takes ownership of accurate, timely financial records that support the monthly
  • close process.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approval
  • Maintain vendor records, W-9s, and 1099 reporting compliance
  • Manage payment scheduling, recording payments and vendor reconciliations
  • Resolve discrepancies and maintain vendor relationships

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Generate and issue customer invoices in accordance with contract term
  • Monitor receivables and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Apply payments and reconcile accounts
  • Support collections and aging analysis

Bank & Credit Card Postings and Reconciliation

  • Post daily bank and credit card transactions to the general ledger accurately and timely
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of all bank and credit card accounts, researching and

resolving discrepancies

  • Monitor credit card transactions and flag unusual activity or potential fraud indicators
  • Maintain supporting documentation for all reconciling items

General Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications
  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Support the Controller with variance analysis and financial reporting packages
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation

Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Support statutory filings and reporting
  • Maintain documentation for audits and regulatory inspections
  • Support internal controls and financial governance

Systems & Process Support

  • Utilize NetSuite for accounting transactions and reporting
  • Identify and support improvements to accounting workflows

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS
  • Familiarity with NetSuite
