Installation / Warehouse Specialist

Position Summary

The Installation / Warehouse Specialist supports interior landscape installations, warehouse operations, plant preparation, deliveries, irrigation systems, living walls, and other

installation-related projects throughout the Seattle market.

This is a hands-on position that requires someone comfortable working with plants, tools, irrigation components, containers, installation materials, and warehouse equipment. The position works closely with Operations, Project Managers, and Plant Care teams to ensure installations are properly prepared, organized, delivered, and completed in accordance with company quality and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, mechanically inclined, comfortable with physical work, and able to work professionally at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

Installation

  • Assist with and perform interior landscape installations at customer locations.
  • Receive, prepare, stage, load, transport, and install plants, containers, and related materials.
  • Work with Project Managers and Operations to organize installation requirements before arriving at the job site.
  • Install and replace plants and decorative containers according to project specifications.
  • Assist with installation and maintenance of irrigation systems and living walls.
  • Troubleshoot basic irrigation and installation-related issues.
  • Safely use hand tools and other equipment required for installations.
  • Protect client floors, furniture, walls, and other property while performing installation work.
  • Assist with special projects, plant replacements, rotations, and refreshes as needed.

Warehouse & Plant Preparation

  • Receive and organize plants, containers, irrigation materials, tools, and installation supplies.
  • Stage plants and materials for upcoming installations.
  • Inspect incoming plants and materials for condition, quality, and accuracy.
  • Prepare plants and containers for delivery and installation.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse and staging area.
  • Assist with inventory organization and communicate when supplies or materials are needed.
  • Maintain tools and installation equipment in good working condition.

Delivery & Field Support

  • Load and unload plants, containers, tools, and installation materials.
  • Safely transport materials to customer locations.
  • Assist Plant Care Specialists and other Operations team members when field support is needed.
  • Help with plant replacements and other service-related projects.
  • Communicate plant quality, installation, irrigation, or site concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
  • Strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable performing physically demanding work.
  • Ability to safely lift and move plants, containers, equipment, and installation materials.
  • Comfortable using hand tools and basic installation equipment.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow project instructions.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work professionally and respectfully in occupied customer environments.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicles as required.
  • Ability to use a smartphone for work-related communication and documentation.
  • Ability to meet company requirements for working at customer sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with interior landscaping, commercial landscaping, horticulture, installations, warehouse operations, or plant care.
  • Experience installing or maintaining irrigation systems.
  • Experience with living walls or other specialty landscape installations.
  • Experience working with tools and basic construction or installation methods.
  • Horticulture, agriculture, landscape, irrigation, or related education or experience.
  • Experience working in commercial office environments.
  • English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical & Scheduling Requirements

This position requires regular standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading of plants and installation materials. The employee must be comfortable working in a warehouse as well as traveling to and working at customer sites.

Installation schedules may occasionally require early morning starts or schedule adjustments based on customer access and project requirements.

A successful Installation / Warehouse Specialist helps ensure that every project leaves the warehouse organized, arrives at the customer site prepared, and is installed safely and professionally. This person takes pride in the quality of the finished installation, cares for company tools and materials, communicates problems early, and works collaboratively with the Seattle Operations team.
