About The Role
DescriptionJob Purpose
- The Key Holder at Goodwill Industries of Dallas Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store by maintaining security, overseeing daily activities, and supporting management in achieving business goals. This position is responsible for opening and closing the store, safeguarding assets, and providing excellent customer service to promote a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and close the store in accordance with company policies and procedures, ensuring the security and integrity of the premises.
- Assist in managing store operations, including inventory control, cash handling, and maintaining accurate records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering a welcoming environment for all patrons.
- Support management in achieving sales targets and operational goals by executing strategic plans and initiatives.
- Train, mentor, and guide team members to enhance their skills and performance, contributing to a productive work environment.
- Monitor and maintain store cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with management to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions to enhance store efficiency.
- Uphold the values and mission of Goodwill Industries by promoting a culture of respect, integrity, and community engagement.
QualificationsRequired Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of retail experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in handling cash transactions and operating a point-of-sale system.
- Previous experience in a customer service-oriented environment.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and staff.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the business needs.
