Field Service Technician (Downhole Service Equipment)

About The Role
Require a field service technician who has worked on Torquemasters, Roughnecks, Top Drives, Bucking Units, Power Tongs, Jar Testers, Programming.
Can read hydraulic schematics, eletrical schematics & troubleshoot mechanical issues on various downhole product line.
Has prior experience in Oil & Gas fields onsite on rigs & offshore rigs.

The FST is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting,
repair & calibration of Torquemasters, Jar Testers, and Bucking Units at customer locations and company facilities.
This role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to provide exceptional technical support in field environments.
- Install, commission, and perform functional testing of Torquemasters, Jar Testers, and Bucking Units.
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on customer equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to minimize equipment downtime.
- Calibrate equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, hydraulic schematics, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Complete service reports, maintenance records, and documentation accurately and promptly.
- Provide technical support and operator training to customers during equipment installation and service visits.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Technical Support to resolve complex equipment issues.
- Recommend equipment upgrades, replacement parts, and maintenance improvements to customers.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company safety policies, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Maintain company service tools, test equipment, and assigned vehicle in good working condition.
- Travel to customer sites domestically and internationally as required, including offshore locations when applicable.
- Participate in on-call support and emergency service response as required.
- Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 4+6 years of field service or maintenance experience supporting industrial or oilfield equipment ( hydro-mechanical machinery).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
- Experience using diagnostic equipment, precision measuring tools, and calibration instruments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic service reporting systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain required travel documentation.
- Ability to pass customer-required safety training and medical requirements.
