  • We are seeking enthusiastic, committed individuals to join our Governing Body and help shape the future of our primary school.
  • As a School Governor, you will play a vital role in supporting the school's leadership, setting strategic direction, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our pupils.
  • What Does a Governor Do?

Governors work as part of a team to

  • Support and challenge school leaders.
  • Help set the school's vision and strategic priorities.
  • Monitor educational standards and pupil achievement.
  • Oversee financial performance and ensure resources are used effectively.
  • Promote the welfare, safety and success of all pupils.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and professions. No previous experience in education is required. We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with skills or experience in areas such as:

  • Safeguarding.
  • Education.
  • Legal Services.
  • Marketing and Communications.
  • Community Engagement.

Most importantly, we are looking for people who are enthusiastic about making a positive contribution to children's education.

Time Commitment

Governors typically attend several meetings each year and may occasionally visit the school to support their role. Training is provided and flexible arrangements can often be made.
