Backend Engineer

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Expand and improve our codebase by writing clean, quality PHP code supported by tests.
• Contribute to technical discussions and share ideas on design decisions.
• Build and maintain APIs that are intuitive and developer-friendly.
• Collaborate with other teams to deliver fully functional features and quality code-based solutions for our product.
• Refactor, improve, and maintain the existing codebase while adding new functionality.
• Follow and promote good coding practices, continuous delivery, and technical excellence.
• Participate in task grooming, helping to define and break down work into manageable tasks.

CORE REQUIREMENTS

• At least 4+ years of experience working with PHP.
• Good understanding of OOP principles and clean code design.
• Experience with REST API design and (My)SQL practices.
• Knowledge of Docker, RabbitMQ, and Redis is a plus.
• Working with Git is nothing new.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools like Claude, Cursor, or similar daily for code generation, refactoring, test creation, and debugging, and you take full ownership of every output.
• Engaged team player committed to contributing to the development and maintenance of a high-performing team.
• Clear, proactive communicator who works well in a cross-functional environment.

• Hands-on experience of migration from Laravel to Symfony.
• Knowledge of CQRS.
• Good knowledge of Plain PHP.
• Knowledge about OpenTelementry.
