About The Role
- Perform regular checks to ensure compliance with the SFC Golden Rules.
- Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, standards, and programs across all operations.
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, company requirements, and international standards.
- Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions.
- Monitor compliance with safe work procedures and site safety requirements.
- Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by employees and contractors.
- Support the implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lockout-Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, and Hot Work procedure.
- Conduct and review risk assessments for operational activities.
- Identify workplace hazards and recommend effective control measures.
- Monitor critical safety controls and verify their effectiveness.
- Ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed within agreed timelines.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, property damage, and environmental incidents.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and develop Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Maintain incident investigation records and track action closure.
- Analyze incident trends and recommend improvement initiatives
- Conduct HSE induction training for employees, visitors, and contractors.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety campaigns, and awareness programs.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through employee engagement and behavioral safety initiatives.
- Support departmental safety committees and safety improvement projects.
- Coordinate emergency drills, evacuation exercises, and response activities.
- Ensure emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, eyewash stations, and alarms are maintained and functional.
- Participate in emergency response planning and crisis management activities
- Monitor waste segregation, disposal, recycling, and environmental compliance activities.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Support environmental sustainability initiatives and resource conservation programs.
- Conduct environmental inspections and report findings.
- Conduct internal HSE inspections and audits.
- Support external audits, customer audits, certification audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Monitor closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
- Support compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and company management systems.
- Conduct contractor safety inductions and monitor contractor activities.
- Verify risk assessments, method statements, and work permits before work commencement.
- Ensure contractor compliance with site safety requirements.
- Monitor high-risk activities and provide guidance where necessary
- Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, risk assessments, permits, training records, and legal compliance documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE performance reports.
- Monitor HSE KPIs and provide recommendations for improvement.
