Executive Officer / Assistant Executive Officer (26270113)
Entrepreneurship and Innovation Centre (EIC) is an integral part of the School of Business. EIC is responsible for organising seminars, workshops, competitions, etc. to support the School’s entrepreneurship education.
EIC is seeking self-motivated and responsible individual with good interpersonal skills to fill the position of Executive Officer / Assistant Executive Officer.
Responsibilities
- EIC Operation
- Assist in planning and executing EIC projects and activities;
- Assist in compiling various kinds of reports and correspondence;
- Manage and maintain EIC’s website and social media accounts;
- Assist in managing EIC’s data and records;
- Event Management
- Preparation of promotional materials and newsletters;
- Liaise with external and internal stakeholders;
- Ensure good event execution and flow;
- Branding and Marketing
- Design, update and maintain of EIC’s marketing and branding materials;
- Promote EIC’s work and positive image to internal and external stakeholders;
- Work beyond regular office hours is occasionally required for event support; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant work experience. Some direct exposure in entrepreneurship/innovation or related areas is an advantage;
- Effective communication skills with excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, the ability to work independently;
- Self-motivated with a detailed and analytical mindset;
- Good design skills with an eye for details;
- Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office software, Chinese word processing, Adobe Illustrator/Adobe Photoshop, and genAI tools; and
- Proficiency in updating and maintaining webpages, demonstrating a strong understanding of website management practices.
Shortlisted candidates would be invited for a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed term contract of one year. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Applicants with less relevant work experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Executive Officer.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
