FOH Barista

We are looking for several experienced Baristas to join our team! We have full-time and part-time roles available. Key tasks will include operating espresso machines to brew hot and cold drinks, managing point-of-sale transactions, and upholding strict food safety guidelines, while offering high levels of service and hospitality. As a high-capacity venue, we are a fast-paced environment, and our staff will need to be able to communicate with both guests and management confidently. With each day bringing something different, being adaptable to the environment we are creating is a must!

Our Key Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years barista experience in the industry is preferable.
• Knowledge and passion for breakfast/brunch service.
• You will be asked as part of the interview to pull a shot and steam milk.
• Experience with a POS system is beneficial, but full training will be provided.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in communicating in English.
• Ability to follow an Order of Service and provide full table service to guests.

Availability

• We have part-time and full time positions available.
• The ability to work weekends is essential.

Having your LCQ or Duty Managers license is a bonus, as this position has the potential to grow in to being one of our Supervisors, supporting the FOH, Bar and Duty Managers, alongside the opening and closing of the venue.

Located in the in heart of the Christchurch CBD, upstairs at the always busy Riverside Market.
