Butcher - Full Time

SPAR Ennis, Lifford Rd Co. Clare, is looking for a full-time Butcher to join our busy team in Ennis. The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

OBJECTIVE

To ensure the Fresh Food Department operates efficiently, effectively, and hygienically at all times, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the highest standards of product quality.

SUITABLE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of a diverse range of meat products and cuts, excellent counter service skills, and a strong customer-focused approach.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, traceability, and health & safety requirements.
• Maintain high standards of product quality, freshness, merchandising, and presentation.
• Monitor stock levels, stock rotation, pricing, and stock-taking procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a customer-focused approach at all times.
• Support the achievement of departmental sales and performance targets.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by General Management from time to time.
