Deputy Manager - Maintenance (Bellary)

Job Summary: To asset safety maintenance, to attend for preventive, proactive and Break-down maintenance works for the equipment in MPT & BRQ Plant. Minimize the plant break down time & 100% equipment efficiency

 

Must be hands-on, field-oriented, with strong CMMS discipline and fixed plant maintenance experience in a continuous process industry. Exposure to fabrication, welding processes, and industrial magnet systems is preferred. Candidates from the steel/slag handling industry will have an added advantage.

 

Responsibilities Summary

Maintenance

• Preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of crushers, conveyors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes
• Reliability: Monitor MTBF, MTTR, and downtime  and Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Planning: Maintenance planning based on equipment criticality and lifecycle
• Breakdown Handling: Quick fault diagnosis and restoration

CMMS / Oracle (Mandatory)

• Work order creation, planning, closure, and tracking
• Manpower planning and allocation
• Spares consumption tracking and inventory management
• Maintain asset register and ensure history accuracy

 

Cost Control

• Budget: Ensure maintenance activities are within AOP/budget
• Optimization: Optimize usage of spares, consumables, and external services

Team & Execution

• Supervision: Manage mechanical and electrical teams
• Coordination: Plan shutdowns in coordination with operations

Safety

Compliance: Ensure adherence to LOTO, PTW, and isolation procedures

Qualifications

• Qualification: B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Experience: 10–12 years in fixed plant maintenance (cement/steel/mining/power industries)
