About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Port Rehandling Specialist to oversee port and barge (tongkang) traffic operations, ensure loading activities run according to plan, and coordinate closely with vessel captains, agents, surveyors, and port authorities at our nickel mining terminal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the traffic flow of ships and barges entering and exiting the company's dedicated terminal.
  • Ensure loading activities comply with the SI (Shipping Instruction) work plan, including load targets, quality, and schedule.
  • Supervise initial and final draft survey processes on barges conducted by surveyors on production loading results.
  • Coordinate with ship captains, agents, ship owners, and harbormasters (syahbandar) on work progress.
  • Oversee and ensure smooth execution of port rehandling activities, including barge berthing/departure, cargo placement in barges, shipping manpower deployment, and dump truck in-out flow to and from barges — all in compliance with approved company procedures.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (S1), preferably from Maritime Academy / Ship Engineering (Akademi Pelayaran / Teknik Perkapalan)
  • Experience: 1–2 years in a similar role; prior experience in port/barge sanding and departure operations required
  • Languages: Indonesian and English
  • Certifications/Training:
  • POP (Basic Supervisory Training)
  • Master Loading (preferred/advantage)
  • ISMKP
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of nickel mining processes
  • Solid technical knowledge of barge berthing and departure operations
  • Able to drive a light vehicle (LV)
  • Proficient in MS Office
