An SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) Manager plays a critical role in bridging the gap between an organization’s financial operations and its IT infrastructure. They are responsible for leading the design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of SAP FICO modules (often transitioning to or leveraging SAP S/4HANA) to align with business objectives and compliance requirements. Your Role: The SAP FICO Manager will lead a team of Functional Analyst and Architect to oversee the end-to-end delivery of SAP Finance and Controlling solutions. This position requires expert in people management, deep functional expertise in core accounting and managerial costing processes, strong project management capabilities, and a proven track record of handling full-lifecycle SAP implementations (including SAP S/4HANA migrations). The manager ensures financial reporting accuracy, system integration, and compliance with local and global financial standards. Key Responsibilities People Management : The People Manager is responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of FICO functional analyst. The ideal candidate will focus on career development, performance management, team culture, and resource allocation, ensuring that the team has the right skills and motivation to meet the company's evolving technological goals. Stakeholder Management : work with stakeholders (Business process Architect, Process owners, AMS partners) to ensure the team collaborate on all requirement scoping and deployment. Working closely with external partners on the contract management and licensing of applications Bridging top down communication : Work closely with Leaderhsip on all management communication, playing key role in Implementing the core principles of IT organization and HR policies across Globe Planning and forecasting : taking care of all the planning and forecasting including resource planning, contracts and License management to ensure the Org P&Ls are met with leadership expectation Solution Architecture & Configuration : Lead the SAP FICO workstream through all phases of implementation (e.g., scoping, blueprinting, realization, testing, cutover, and post-go-live support) utilizing methodologies like ASAP, Agile across FICO sub modules as below Financial Accounting (FI): General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Bank Accounting. Controlling (CO): Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA). Cross-Module Integration : Collaborate closely with other functional teams to ensure seamless system integration with modules such as Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP), Project Systems (PS), and Human Resources (HR). Quality Assurance & Testing : Oversee system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), managing defect resolution, data migration validation, and compliance audits. Team & Vendor Management : Mentor junior consultants, manage resource allocation, evaluate performance, and serve as the main point of contact for external vendors and system integrators. Continuous Improvement : Identify process inefficiencies and propose technical innovations (such as Fiori financial apps, Central Finance, or SAP BTP tools) to optimize financial reporting and data analytics. Who you are: Experience: 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP configuration, with at least 2–3 full-cycle end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations. 2 to 3 years of experience in people management S/4HANA Innovations: Strong familiarity with modern innovations like the Universal Journal, Material Ledger, Group Reporting, and Central Finance. Integration Knowledge: Advanced understanding of how financial data flows through supply chain, sales, and manufacturing modules. Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills to explain complex technical designs to non-technical executive teams. Problem-Solving: Proven capacity to manage risks, track project timelines, resolve architectural defects, and make strategic data-driven decisions. Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, BE, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA or CPA/CA equivalents are highly desired).
