About The Role
The Facilities Technician is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and upkeep of all company facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is expected to be proactive and hands-on, with the ability to support multiple facilities as needed, ensuring a safe and efficient workplace in compliance with company standards and safety regulations.  
 
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 
The following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. MCG retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.  
- Complete basic maintenance tasks assigned by Facility Manager with minimal oversight needed.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to ensure systems run smoothly and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory and utilize tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Keep accurate records of completed work, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with facility users, tenants, or supervisors regarding maintenance needs and solutions.
- Interface with professional contractors for projects and tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, addressing minor cleaning or janitorial needs.
- Respond promptly to work orders and service requests to minimize disruption.
- May perform minor renovations or installations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Required knowledge/Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in facilities or a related field (experience can be substituted for relevant technical training).
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with technical training courses. Advanced education is a plus, but not critical.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable).
Education
- High school diploma or GED, Required
- Technical certification or associate degree, preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Regular working at heights utilizing scaffolding, ladders, or scissor-lift equipment.  
- Ability to work comfortably outdoors in the construction yard during final weatherproofing.
- Continuous manual dexterity for handling structural fasteners, tools, and industrial caulking systems.
