Job Description
The Business Program Manager serves as the principal strategic advisor to the Chief Medical Officer of IGT-S. The role leads the development and execution of the MO IGT-S strategy by identifying emerging clinical, technology, and competitive trends, translating insights into strategic priorities, and providing evidence-based recommendations that inform executive decision-making. Serving as the strategic integrator and operational orchestrator of the Medical Office, the Business Program Manager aligns strategy, portfolio, governance, and execution. Through robust portfolio governance and Business Program Management, the role establishes governance frameworks, performance management processes, and decision-making mechanisms that enable effective execution of strategic objectives. It aligns cross-functional stakeholders, manages program interdependencies and risks, monitors portfolio performance, and drives realization of strategic benefits to ensure execution excellence and sustainable business impact.
The Business Program Manager builds trusted partnerships that strengthen organizational effectiveness and accelerate cross-functional collaboration. By embedding medical expertise into strategic and portfolio decisions, the role enables evidence-based decision-making, strengthens clinical differentiation, and helps Philips IGT-S deliver innovative solutions that improve patient outcomes while creating compelling clinical and business value propositions and sustainable competitive advantage.
Job Responsibilities
Strategy
- Working closely with the CMO and Leadership Team, lead the development and continuous evolution of the MO IGT-S strategy, ensuring alignment with IGT-S priorities and Philips' enterprise strategy.
- Lead the development of strategic clinical intelligence capabilities, including evidence maturity assessments, procedure landscape analyses, and portfolio opportunity assessments to strengthen portfolio decisions, evidence strategies, and clinical differentiation.
Project Management
- Lead the MO IGT-S portfolio, ensuring successful delivery of strategic business programs aligned with the Medical Office priorities and the strategic objectives of IGT-S.
- Establish and maintain end-to-end portfolio governance, providing a single source of truth across strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment between strategy, portfolio priorities, and execution.
- Translate strategic priorities into integrated business programs and roadmaps with clear governance, KPIs, risk management, and measurable outcomes.
- Represent the Medical Office in cross-functional governance forums, including Value Proposition Creation (VPC), Advanced Development (AD), and PDLM governance, ensuring consistent prioritization, alignment, executive visibility, and follow-up.
- Develop governance, project charters, operational work plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, track and manage risks.
- Apply Philips Business Program Management standards, governance principles, and best practices to drive consistent execution, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across strategic programs.
Stakeholder & Cross-functional Coordination
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, resolving dependencies, and accelerating execution of strategic initiatives.
- Influence and negotiate across organizational boundaries to address complex business challenges, build alignment, and drive execution of strategic priorities.
- Lead strategic transformation initiatives that strengthen Medical Office governance, organizational effectiveness, and cross-functional ways of working.
- Orchestrate key meetings and activities to engage, communicate, achieve consensus and enable execution across BUs.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing across the Medical Office and its key partners.
Change Management & Execution
- Support stakeholder mapping, engagement, and communication activities. Incorporate change management into execution plans to ensure effective adoption of initiatives across the organization.
- Co-ordinate pilots phased rollouts and evaluations to identify and share learnings for continuous improvement.
