If you are ready to apply your skills to the forefront of robotics innovation, we’d love to hear from you.What to ExpectAs an Industrial Designer, you’ll work closely with our industrial design and engineering teams on Memo, our home robot. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to real product development—not just concept <work.You>’ll play a key role throughout the design process—from early brainstorming and concept development to design refinement and getting the product mass-production ready. We’re looking for someone who is excited about robot design, passionate about physical products, and curious about what the future of living with robots could look like.Duration of Contract: September through December What You’ll DoOwn and drive industrial design projects from early concept through productionWork closely with designers and engineers to develop thoughtful, beautiful, and manufacturable design solutionsExplore and communicate ideas through sketching, CAD, rendering, and physical prototypesParticipate in design reviews, clearly communicate design intent, and iterate quickly based on feedbackBuild and evaluate physical prototypes using 3D printing and other prototyping methodsDevelop and refine CMF strategiesCollaborate with vendors and manufacturing partners to review samples, resolve design details, and bring designs into productionProactively identify design opportunities and help shape the overall product experience and design language of MemoWhat You’ll BringStrong industrial design fundamentals, including sketching, form development, proportion, detailing, and 3D modelingProficiency in SolidWorks, Onshape, Rhino or similar CAD toolsStrong hands-on prototyping skills and experience with 3D printingExperience with KeyShot or other visualization and rendering toolsStrong aesthetic judgment and exceptional attention to detailUnderstanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and designing for productionAbility to communicate design intent clearly and collaborate closely with engineering and cross-functional teamsA proactive, self-motivated approach and comfort taking ownership in a fast-moving environmentComfortable moving between big-picture concepts and small production detailsExcited about robotics, consumer products, and the future of technology in the homeAt Sunday Robotics, we’re building technology shaped by real people — curious, creative, and diverse.
