Evaluates all data to determine appropriateness and medical necessity of the test ordered. Selects, assembles and checks the equipment necessary to perform the diagnostic test Initiates, conducts and modifies the prescribed diagnostic procedure Maintains patient records and communicates relevant information to members of the health care team Continue with self-development and assists Director with orientation and continuing education of trainees, medical staff, and other hospital employees. Promotes age-appropriate care to all patients Provides age-appropriate care to all patients. Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Education/ Licenses Bachelor's Degree Preferred; Graduate of an approved Electroneurodiagnostic Program or AMA approved Respiratory Care Program or a minimum of two years of clinical experience performing EEG testing, preferred. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiovascular Technologist by the National Board of Cardiovascular Technology preferred or one year experience.
