Internship Summary

LMKR is seeking a motivated ITS Intern to assist in the inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) equipment installed on buses, including AVL, PIDs, validators, VHF devices, and Wi-Fi systems. The intern will support preventive and corrective maintenance activities, route verification, system testing, and maintenance reporting while working closely with the Fleet Management and VOC teams. This internship offers hands-on experience with ITS technologies and an opportunity to develop practical technical skills in a dynamic field environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect ITS devices (AVL, PIDs , validators) before dispatch or during operations and resolve issues immediately.
• Report detected issues to Fleet Management Team and escalate if unresolved within 20 minutes.
• Attempt immediate resolution of ITS/AFC/VHF issues at field.
• Perform PM/CM including cable management, soldering, validator checks, and VHF inspection.
• Prepare and share PM reports including issues, resolutions, and photos.
• Verify new routes on ground.
• Prepare and share line files after route verification with Fleet Team and collect coordinates/data.
• Conduct test runs for new routes and verify system performance.
• VHF devices installation and problems trouble shooting both hardware and configurational changes.
• Buses Wifi Data usage rectifications with VOC teams and router/SIM checking in Buses.
• Understanding and implementing sound knowledge about ITS architecture of Buses.
