About The Role
System Architect (USB Power)
Candidate Responsibilities
Identify new markets and emerging application trends to define innovative USB Power products and Solutions roadmap
Translate customer requirements to roadmap products with compelling value proposition and competitive advantages. Actively engage with customers to gain deep understanding of their system and product requirements
Conduct Competitive Technical Analysis and Benchmarking
Collaborate with Cross functional team - Design & Test Engineers, Applications Engineers, Marketing to develop and launch new products on time
Prepare technical documentation – product specifications, datasheets, white papers, presentations, application notes, and develop product demos that highlight the value proposition and advantages of their USB Power Delivery (PD) solutions.
Oversee the development of application reference circuits and demonstration boards
Provide technical guidance and support for complex customer issues to secure design-ins
Provide application support and technical training for key customers and field application engineers
Collaborate with Marketing and Customer account teams, providing technical expertise, assisting with customer engagements, and supporting marketing campaigns
Job qualifications
15+ years of solid experience in roadmap generation, product specification, feature trade-off analysis, market survey early customer engagements and system engineering activities
Strong knowledge in USB Power delivery specifications, USB Type-C, battery charging specifications, Wireless charging technologies, power management architectures
Strategic thinking to collaborate with partners and OEMs to arrive at innovative proposals and new architectures
Experience in product management, strong analytical skills to analyze market data and identify new opportunities.
Good understanding of mobile, automotive and embedded/IOT system designs
Hands-on experience with lab validation, test automation and handling of lab equipment such oscilloscopes, power meters, waveform generators, Saleae analyzers, etc.
Prior knowledge of PCB design and simulation techniques, working knowledge of PCB materials and PCB stack-up
Experience in lab debugging, tackling and resolving customer issues
Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills, ability to work with cross-functional teams and can-do attitude
BSEE in Electronics/ Electrical Engineering, MSEE is desirable
The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.
Company benefits include health. dental, and vision insurance. 401(k), and paid leave. Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is:
$196,800 to $270,600 annually
