Job Summary

The Cybersecurity Engineer I will be responsible for the monitoring, implementation, and administration of IT cyber security covering the corporate IT network infrastructure and all of its endpoints. The Cybersecurity Engineer I will also be responsible for responding to IT cybersecurity incident response events, analyze/investigate the output from various network infrastructure devices and initiate remediation actions. This position will also participate in information security risk assessments, audits, and other operational processes to ensure an optimal cybersecurity posture.

Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Maintains and operates information system security controls and countermeasures.
  • Monitors and assists with the implementation of security controls and procedures in business processes related to use of information systems and assets.
  • Monitors information systems for security incidents and vulnerabilities; develops monitoring and visibility capabilities; reports on incidents, vulnerabilities, and trends.
  • Responds to information system security incidents, including investigation of, countermeasures to, and recovery from computer-based attacks, unauthorized access, and policy breaches; interacts with third-party incident responders, including law enforcement.
  • Monitors trends, news and changes in threat and compliance environment with respect to organizational risk; assists in the execution of plans for compliance and mitigation of risk; assists in the completion of risk and compliance self-assessments and third-party risk and compliance assessments.
  • Assists with the administration of information security training and awareness programs.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Preferred

  • Education - Associates Computer Science; Computer Information Systems; or Management Information Systems
  • Certification - Security + Certification - CompTIA or Network + Certification - CompTIA
  • Experience - Computer/ Information Technology 1+ years
  • Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
