Performance Architect (10+ Years Experience) Location: Bangalore, India Experience: 10+ Years About the Role A Performance Test Architect designs and implements strategies to ensure software scalability, reliability, and speed underload. They bridge development and testing, defining test frameworks, identifying bottlenecks, and promoting "shift-left" practices. Experts in tools like JMeter, they analyze complex systems and provide performance tuning recommendations. Key Responsibilities Define and own the performance architecture strategy across applications and platforms. Design, script, and execute performance tests using JMeter (mandatory) to simulate real-world user behavior Develop scalable load models and define robust test data management strategies Establish performance benchmarks, SLAs, and KPIs across systems Analyze performance test results and provide deep insights with actionable recommendations Build and maintain real-time monitoring dashboards using Grafana Identify system bottlenecks (application, database, network) and guide teams toward optimized solutions Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to embed performance early into the SDLC Drive performance best practices, frameworks, and reusable solutions across the organization Mentor junior engineers and lead performance engineering initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications 10+ years of experience in performance testing/engineering, with exposure to architecture-level responsibilities Experience in performance testing strategies for front end and backend systems. Strong hands-on expertise with Apache JMeter (mandatory) Deep understanding of: Performance testing types (load, stress, endurance, spike testing) Performance engineering methodologies and architectural patterns Proven experience in: Designing enterprise-grade load models Creating scalable test data strategies Strong expertise in performance analysis, root cause identification, and tuning strategies Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
