Position # : 9013517 Expected Start Date: September 11, 2026 Union: HSAS Facility: Esterhazy District Medical Clinic City/Town: Esterhazy Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Full-time temporary Expected Up to Date: September 30, 2027 FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Mental Health Therapist - Staff $35.546 to $43.466 Travel Required: No Human Resources Exemption: No Experience Experience in brief treatment modalities in PHC setting is an asset Experience with clinical interventions related to Primary Health Care Experience w/ clinical interventions in Integrated Care or Community Health Care Education Degree in Human Services field acceptable to the employer Licenses Valid Class 5 driver's license Competencies Excellent documentation skills Communication skills Critical thinking skills Advanced - Organizational skills Knowledge and Abilities Ability to provide brief, solution focused interventions Ability to follow structure and maintain routine Knowledge of community resources Demonstrates ability to accept and implement change Knowledge of motivational interviewing Client confidentiality and the Health Information Protection Act Ability to lead group activities Ability to evaluate the mind-body-behavior connection Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team Ability to work under stress Adherence to the Code of Ethics. Demonstrates empathy, trust and respect in the provision of care Ability to support improved functioning. Knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act and Family Services Act Ability to work flexible hours Demonstrate accountability, promptness, dependability, professionalism Knowledge of principles and implementation of behavioral health skills Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act and Health Information Protection Act and other legislation Other Information Ability to travel when required Previous experience leading and facilitating group activities preferred Responsibility and accountability at all times for her/his own practice Registered/eligible to register with corresponding professional association
