About The Role

  • Strong experience as a Senior QA Automation Engineer, SDET, or Automation Test Engineer in enterprise applications.
  • Must-have expertise in Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), JUnit, and GitHub Actions .
  • Strong hands-on experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing automation frameworks using Java and Selenium WebDriver.
  • Strong experience with Cucumber BDD, including feature files, step definitions, runners, and BDD framework implementation.
  • Strong experience with JUnit for automated test execution, assertions, test organization, and framework integration.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline integration and automated test execution.
  • Experience performing UI, API, regression, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing.
  • Strong understanding of automation framework design, Page Object Model (POM), reusable components, test data management, and framework maintenance.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Experience with Playwright is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright MCP is highly preferred.
  • Experience working with Git, Maven/Gradle, Jira, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, proactively manage deliverables, and collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience in Retail, E-commerce, or Product Engineering environments is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, execute, and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver, Java, Cucumber, and JUnit .
  • Develop and maintain reusable automation components, Page Object Model structures, test utilities, and test data frameworks.
  • Create and maintain Cucumber feature files, step definitions, runners, and BDD automation scenarios.
  • Integrate automated test suites with GitHub Actions and maintain CI/CD workflows for continuous and automated test execution.
  • Perform functional, UI, API, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across application releases.
  • Develop API automation suites using REST Assured, Postman, or equivalent tools where required.
  • Analyze test failures, troubleshoot automation issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate fixes.
  • Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, business stakeholders, and QA teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and defect triage sessions.
  • Support production issues, release validation, regression testing, and automation support activities.
  • Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, execution efficiency, and overall QA processes.
  • Evaluate and implement modern automation technologies such as Playwright and Playwright MCP where applicable.
  • Maintain automation documentation, execution reports, defect information, and test results.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to reduce manual testing effort and improve automation reliability and delivery quality.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while managing automation deliverables and meeting project timelines.
