Duties & Responsibilities

This sustainability manager is responsible for

• Delivering energy/carbon consulting projects, incl. energy audit, carbon reduction study and Climate Risk consultancy service and project management service related to energy efficiency improvements.
• Developing and implementing sustainability programs for clients
• Delivering green building certifications, new ESG and carbon business in China
• Communication with client representatives on technical and nontechnical issues and maintain client satisfaction
• Collaborate with other business lines in JLL to provide service proposal from the perspectives of energy efficiency, carbon emissions, and ESG, and undertake consulting services and project execution in these areas.

Employee Specifics

• Strong technical background in building energy system, mechanical system and sustainability in real estate sector
• 5+ years post education industry experience, ideally in area-focused sustainability, energy, and carbon
• Experience in on-site energy auditing and or retro-commissioning and report developing.
• Familiar with international and national green building certification systems: LEED, WELL, China Three Star, etc.
• Possess relevant sustainability qualifications (e.g. LEED AP/Well AP/Engineering License)
• A motivated self-starter with a proven track record of successfully delivering best practice and quality to their client.
• Proactive with a keen eye for detail and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Possess a can-do attitude with proven ability to build and maintain relationships
• A strategic thinker who is capable of dealing with ambiguity and solve complex problems effectively.
• Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strategic thinking and planning ability

Key skills

• Academic background in building mechanical system, sustainability, energy.
• Skill in energy system analysis and energy saving proposals
• Skill in energy simulation and other energy/sustainability analysis tools
• Strong communicator – Good presentation skills and possesses strong verbal & written communication skills, also an active listener
• Flexible – able to adapt to rapidly changing situations
• Is a team player – able to cooperate and work well with others to meet target
