Cloud Alliances Business Development Lead

This is a strategic, customer-facing opportunity focused on accelerating growth through partnerships with leading cloud <providers.You> will shape joint go-to-market strategies, product roadmaps, and commercial initiatives across global cloud ecosystems.The role combines business development, technology strategy, product collaboration, and partner <management.You> will work closely with sales, marketing, engineering, product, and alliance teams to create differentiated cloud offerings.Your work will help increase adoption of open-source technologies while influencing customers and strategic stakeholders.The position is ideal for a technically minded, data-driven professional who thrives in complex and highly collaborative environments.With a distributed international team and occasional global travel, the role offers significant visibility and strategic impact.

Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with cloud partner product, engineering, alliance, and marketing teams to align strategies, priorities, and open-source initiatives.
  • Capture partner requirements, assess capability gaps, and identify opportunities for new products, services, and commercial growth.
  • Coordinate with internal marketing and product teams to develop messaging, content, launch strategies, and partner-facing campaigns.
  • Create and coordinate customer- and partner-facing materials, including reference architectures, joint blueprints, webinars, presentations, videos, and white papers.
  • Drive adoption of open-source cloud technologies within targeted strategic accounts by communicating their value and supporting partner enablement initiatives.
  • Work with cloud partners to develop training and enablement for development, delivery, support, and commercial teams.
  • Influence cloud customers and prospects to adopt relevant technologies and solutions through strategic engagement and value-based discussions.
  • Support sales, marketing, and alliance teams in jointly servicing customers and prospects across the cloud ecosystem.
  • Develop and maintain quarterly and annual revenue forecasts associated with public cloud partnerships.
  • Travel up to approximately 25%, including international travel, for conferences, partner meetings, and strategic business development activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or a related discipline, with a strong academic record or an equivalent compelling professional background.

Experience in software development and system architecture, with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.

Professional experience in a customer-facing role such as software engineering, product management, business development, technology strategy, solutions architecture, or a similar function.

Strong understanding of public cloud environments, technology ecosystems, and business development or go-to-market strategies.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individual contributors, technical teams, business leaders, and C-suite stakeholders.

Ability to translate complex technical information into clear strategic recommendations and actionable plans.

Strong strategic and tactical thinking, with the ability to move effectively between long-term planning and hands-on execution.

Self-motivated, disciplined, and comfortable managing priorities in a distributed, remote-first environment.

Experience with open-source software and open-source business models is highly desirable.

Experience in team leadership, product management, program management, marketing, or go-to-market strategy is an advantage.

Familiarity with independent hardware and software vendor go-to-market models is beneficial.

Experience within sectors such as financial services, telecommunications, automotive, or the public sector is a plus.

A postgraduate degree in science, technology, engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
