This is a fully remote, relationship-focused opportunity with travel across an assigned territory.The role is responsible for growing advisor and referral relationships while promoting a broad portfolio of banking products and <services.You>’ll act as a consultative partner, connecting client and advisor needs with relevant lending, deposit, and financial solutions.The position combines business development, territory management, sales strategy, financial expertise, and relationship <building.You>’ll collaborate with teams across wealth, insurance, and banking to create coordinated solutions and expand market opportunities.Success requires strong communication, influencing, negotiation, and presentation skills, along with the ability to operate <independently.It>’s an opportunity to make a tangible impact by helping customers and advisors make more informed financial decisions.

Accountabilities

  • Develop, maintain, and expand advisor and referral relationships within an assigned geographic territory through regular strategic meetings and structured business planning.
  • Promote banking products, services, and advice while identifying opportunities to increase adoption and improve sales effectiveness.
  • Consult with advisors to understand their business and customer needs and demonstrate the value of coordinated banking, insurance, investment, lending, and deposit solutions.
  • Develop, organize, and deliver business proposals, business cases, and case analyses tailored to advisor and customer requirements.
  • Partner with wealth, insurance, and group representatives to increase awareness and adoption of debt management, lending, and deposit solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with advisors by providing consultative guidance, responding to business needs, and helping identify appropriate financial solutions.
  • Share best practices with other Business Development Managers and contribute to improvements in products, services, sales strategies, and operational efficiency.
  • Bring market insights and customer feedback into internal discussions to identify opportunities for innovation and service improvement.
  • Manage the assigned territory strategically, balancing relationship development, sales objectives, customer needs, and organizational priorities.
  • Present solutions and recommendations effectively to both individual stakeholders and larger groups.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory as required to meet with advisors, partners, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
  • At least 5 years of banking or credit experience, with a solid understanding of lending policies and practices.
  • Experience in business development, relationship management, territory management, financial services sales, or a related field.
  • Professional fluency in spoken and written Mandarin is required.
  • Conversational Cantonese communication skills are considered an asset.
  • Experience developing and executing business plans and managing a geographic territory.
  • Strong consultative selling, persuasion, negotiation, and active listening skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain significant professional relationships and influence stakeholders through credibility and expertise.
  • Strong diplomacy and conflict-management skills, with the ability to address resistance while maintaining compliance with policies and standards.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, including confidence presenting to both small and large groups.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to develop creative sales strategies, marketing concepts, and product applications.
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial lending, banking products, and financial services.
  • Knowledge of investment and life insurance products is an advantage.
  • Industry designation such as AMP, completed or in progress, is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Self-motivated, dynamic, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong ability to collaborate across teams and translate customer and advisor needs into practical business solutions.
