Quality Engineer

planable · Moldova - Chisinau

Quality AssuranceExternal listingfull-time5 days ago

About The Role

We’re on the lookout for a curious and proactive Quality Engineer to join our Chisinau on-site team at Planable - now part of SE Ranking. You’ll help shape how we test and deliver the product used by thousands of marketing teams around the world. From collaborative content workflows to creative approvals, your work will ensure our users have a smooth experience.

You’ll work across several projects, help teams make practical quality decisions, improve our testing systems, and use AI agents to automate a meaningful part of your work.

🚀 What you’ll do

Drive quality throughout product delivery

You’ll support four to six projects running in parallel, working closely with engineers from early development through release.

Understand why a feature exists, what problem it solves, and who it serves

Learn how customers are expected to use it and identify the most important user flows

Agree with engineers on the testing scope, responsibilities, and timing

Surface risks early and plan ahead so quality work never blocks the team unexpectedly

Use manual testing selectively to evaluate complete user experiences—not to search for every minor cosmetic or technical issue

Make clear recommendations about release readiness

Build, automate, and investigate

You’ll be hands-on with both the product and its supporting systems.

Create and maintain reliable automated coverage with Playwright

Contribute focused improvements within established product areas

Resolve straightforward product issues when doing so is the fastest path forward

Own self-contained features from implementation through validation

Monitor CI on the main branch, investigate failures, and coordinate the next steps

Run quick sanity checks when engineers need timely input

Improve how the team approaches quality

Your impact should extend beyond the projects you personally support.

Improve testing tools, workflows, and AI-assisted practices

Help define meaningful goals for the QA team

Own quality metrics and use them to guide improvements

Identify recurring problems and address them through better systems

Help the team focus its testing effort where the risk and customer impact are highest

🤖 Work AI-first

AI is a core part of this role—not an occasional productivity tool.

We expect you to use agents for coding, investigation, automation, context gathering, and routine problem-solving. Your focus will increasingly be on creating effective workflows, providing the right context, reviewing results, and improving the agents you rely on.

You should

Already use AI extensively in your daily work

Be able to demonstrate practical tools or workflows you’ve built with it

Be familiar with MCP and agent-based workflows

Know how to create, maintain, and oversee agents that perform real work

Remain accountable for the quality of AI-generated outcomes

Continuously explore ways to move repeatable work into the background

Experience with AI evals is a plus.

🧩 How we work

Nobody hands you a complete task list. You decide what needs attention based on your understanding of the product and the team.

Several projects run in parallel, priorities can change quickly, and context switching is part of the job. You’ll need to create your own structure and stay organized without a process imposed from above.

We keep meetings to a minimum. Getting the context you need is part of your work—through Slack discussions, pull requests, and direct conversations with teammates.

🌟 You’ll thrive in this role if you

Take initiative without waiting for detailed instructions

Stay organized in a fast-moving, sometimes messy environment

Understand customer problems—not only testing requirements

Make sensible decisions with incomplete information

Assess risk and communicate your reasoning clearly

Protect quality without expecting every solution to be perfect

Correct course quickly when new information appears

Are comfortable testing, automating, writing product code, fixing pipelines, and coordinating with people

Believe that agents should perform much of the routine coding and problem-solving, with you guiding and overseeing the work

🎁 What we offer

A cozy office in a central area with everything you need to focus

Tasty free lunches every weekday

22 days of paid time off, plus local national holidays

Flexible work hours and a culture that trusts you to manage your time

Private medical insurance

Extended paid sick leave so you can fully recover without worry

Career map with growth opportunities

A yearly learning budget for courses, books, or anything that helps you grow professionally

A yearly wellbeing budget you can use for sport, therapy, or even a good novel

Best hardware for your work (team Apple)

An award-winning product loved by thousands of customers worldwide

A transparent, flexible culture with people at the core of everything we do

Events that are actually fun

You’ll be joining the Planable team, part of SE Ranking, working alongside 20+ folks in our Chișinău office.
