We tackle every business decision with enthusiasm, and we love the work that we do!As our Event Supply Specialist, you'll source supplier rates and availability at scale, keeping the Planned marketplace accurate, responsive, and competitive in real time. You'll manage a high volume of supplier interactions, maintain strong relationships, and help expand into new markets.This is an AI-forward role. You'll use AI tools daily as a co-pilot and bring the judgment, relationships, and process thinking that make the output reliable. You don't need to be technical on day one, but you should be curious about making AI work harder for the team.*Please note, this is an entry-level position*What You'll Do Marketplace operationsSupport the daily operations of the Planned marketplace, monitoring sourcing health, flagging friction points, and helping resolve issues as they come <up.Review> AI-generated actions and catch gaps, pricing outliers, and missing informationMaintain marketplace quality: accurate listings, up-to-date supplier info, reliable response ratesSupplier relationshipsBe a consistent, responsive point of contact for suppliers and provide platform guidanceTriage inbound supplier requests and escalate where neededOnboard new suppliers and track performance signals to identify top partnersSourcing and market expansionIdentify new market opportunities - cities, regions, or supplier categories where coverage is thinSource new suppliers and products using AI research toolsProcess and AI improvementIdentify areas for improvement in our supply processes and bring them to the teamPartner with the Supply Manager and AI Specialists to test and refine AI-assisted workflowsKeep playbooks and SOPs current as processes evolveWhat We're Looking ForImpeccable organization - ablility to manage a high volume of tasks simultaneouslyStrong work ethic and dedication - a real passion for improvementExcellent written and verbal communicationBias toward process - when something feels manual, your instinct is to document, improve, or automate itComfortable questioning AI output - you treat it as a first draft, not a final answerCuriosity about AI tools and excited to experiment and share what you learnTeam-oriented and adaptableAvailable to work for our west-coast coverage (11am-7pm, Monday to Friday)Nice to havePrior experience in hospitality, events, travel, or marketplace operationsExposure to AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) - personal projects countBilingual in English and FrenchWhat We OfferCulture of high performance, strong talent density and in-person collaborationUnlimited PTOCompetitive base payAll the tools and gear you need to be successful (Macbook, screens, mouse, keyboard, ChatGPT, etc.)Health, dental, vision insuranceBus pass subsidy or indoor parkingStocked up snacks & lunches in office 2x per weekDog-friendly officeRelocation support, if neededNot sure you meet all the role requirements, but have a passion for Planned and are eager to help build a great product?
