As an Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for designing, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical or electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings to advance the equipment that supports our technology. Using your technical experience and critical thinking skills, you will perform engineering analysis, generate test reports, develop innovative solutions, and create documentation for product releases. You will also coordinate the procurement and assembly of components, identify sources of critical parts, and resolve technical issues to ensure peak performance. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of difficult scopeProblem identification and troubleshooting a variety of complex electrical problems with limited supervisionDefine, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports with limited supervisionPerform engineering analysis of difficult scope with limited supervisionTechnically lead and/or executes engineering projects, including development of key suppliersImplements concepts for variety of complex product issues and electrical solutions of difficult scopeGenerate electrical product specificationsSpecify and review engineering documentationFunctional KnowledgeDemonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplinesBusiness ExpertiseHas knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the marketLeadershipActs as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirementsProblem SolvingSolves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of informationImpactImpacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams; works within broad guidelines and policiesInterpersonal SkillsExplains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensusEducation & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in engineering with Electrical background and 8-10 years of experienceAdditional Job DescriptionElectrical Equipment design for any industries such as Process, Batch or manufacturingSelection of Switch gear, Protections circuit, sensors & ControllersIdentifying Safety interlocks & different system Safety requirementsWorking knowledge of relevant standards i.e. NFPA70, NFPA79, Semi S2, S8, F47 and UL508A etc.Understanding or experience of working with power control designs and applicationsDemonstrated knowledge of working with major electrical components and ability to troubleshoot them when requiredBasics communication protocols (RS232,RS485,ECAT,ENET)Tools KnowledgeE3STeamcenterAdditional InformationTime Type:Full timeEmployee Type:Assignee / RegularTravel:Yes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible:YesApplied Materials is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
