About the Role Key Responsibilities Supervise and monitor day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions and the month-end closing and consolidation processes. Ensure proper application of IFRS and regulatory requirements, and maintenance of appropriate internal controls over financial reporting. Review and analyze group-level financial results, including variance and trend analysis, providing actionable insights to senior management. Perform assessments of accounting treatments for current/new products and business initiatives, as well as other technical or judgmental items. Manage the design of internal controls and ensure SOX documentation (key risks and related controls, policies and procedures, and other internal control documentation) is complete and up to date. Collaborate with internal and external auditors and process owners to ensure effective execution of the annual evaluation of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR). Provide guidance, training, and recommendations to strengthen internal controls, create efficiencies, and remediate deficiencies. Coordinate with external auditors on annual audits, quarterly reviews, etc. Manage projects and change initiatives that drive faster, more accurate closing; support ad-hoc projects including system/process enhancements and M&A. Partner closely with business teams, R&D teams, and other finance functions to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting, and drive process improvements and best practices. Mentor and guide junior finance team members, fostering continuous learning and professional development. Stay abreast of evolving SEC, IFRS, and SOX requirements, providing guidance on their impact on the organization. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in financial reporting and accounting, with at least 3 years in a people managment role. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Big 4 audit firm, with hands-on experience auditing IPOs or public companies. Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Manager level. Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and their application in a global context; familiarity with SEC filing and SOX requirements is an advantage. Proficiency in finance systems and tools. Experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus. Curious mindset that embraces change, with enthusiasm for leveraging AI and other emerging tools to improve ways of working. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
