Lead - Area Finance Controller

Group Company: Suzlon Energy Limited Designation: Lead - Area Finance Controller Office Location: Vadva Kachchh (Site) Position description: Description Primary Responsibilities: To manage and control financial operations for the assigned area under OMS, ensuring strong financial governance, cost control, accurate reporting, statutory compliance, and business decision support. Key Responsibilities Oversee area‑level finance operations including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Monitor and analyze OMS O&M costs, variance analysis, and profitability by site / customer. Ensure accurate and timely financial closure, MIS, and management reporting. Manage revenue recognition, billing, collections, and coordination with customers. Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and SOPs. Support internal, statutory, and customer audits; ensure closure of audit observations. Partner with Engineering, SCM, and Operations teams for cost optimization and efficiency. Track capex, OPEX, spare consumption, and contractor cost effectiveness. Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, statutory filings, and area‑level finance regulations. Act as finance SPOC for the assigned area, supporting leadership reviews and decision‑making. Education & Experience CA / ICWA / MBA (Finance) / <M.Com>. 10–14 years of experience in finance controlling, preferably in OMS / O&M / infrastructure / renewable energy. Strong exposure to area / multi‑site finance operations. Key Skills & Competencies Deep understanding of finance controlling, MIS, and cost analytics. Knowledge of OMS contracts, revenue models, and O&M costing. Strong audit, compliance, and risk management orientation. Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills. Proficiency in ERP / SAP / OMS systems. Location Area / Regional role with travel across OMS sites as required.
