Job description Key Responsibilities: Maintenance & Troubleshooting of process control systems, sensors, transmitters, control valves, actuators. Calibration & Health Monitoring of field instruments and gas detectors. Planning & Execution of process automation and controls. Installation & Commissioning of instrumentation systems. Compliance & Documentation for departmental activities. Hook-up of field instruments with DCS/PLC systems , including wiring, configuration, loop validation, and interlocks. DCS/PLC/ESD Programming & Troubleshooting . Technical Procurement & Vendor Coordination , including Technical Bid Analysis (TBA) and recommendations. Participation in FAT/SAT , HAZOP, and PSSR studies. Preventive Maintenance Scheduling for instruments and DCS. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring faults. P&ID Review , PID loop optimization, and integration of control systems. Cost Estimation & Budgeting for maintenance and MOC jobs. SAP PM/MM Module Usage for job tracking, material issuance, and work order closure. Training & Development of subordinates and contract staff. Technical Competencies: DCS/ESD/PLC hardware & programming. Instrumentation fundamentals and calibration techniques. Electrical & electronic principles, HART communicator usage. Communication protocols. SAP PM/MM modules. Instrumentation specification, sizing, and selection using software. Project management, risk assessment, and integration of control systems. P&ID review and hookup of field instruments to DCS.
