We are seeking a skilled and reliable Deli Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will prepare high-quality dishes according to our recipes, maintain a clean and organized workstation, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions and responsibilities

Prepare and cook deli menu items, including sandwiches, salads, soups, and specialty dishes.

Slice, portion, and arrange meats, cheeses, and other ingredients with precision.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the deli and kitchen areas.

Minimize food waste

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards.

Provide friendly, efficient service to customers and assist with special catering orders.

Working conditions

Position requires bending, standing, and walking during shift.

Comfortable working in hot and busy kitchen conditions.

Comfortable with walk – in cooler and freezer

Comfortable with the handling of Sharp Knives and other commercial kitchen equipment

Physical requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods.

Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.

QualificationsRequired Education and Experience

• Proven experience as a deli cook, line cook, or similar culinary role.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, portion control, and presentation.
• Ability to operate deli equipment (slicers, ovens, induction burners, mixer) safely.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Food handler’s certification or equivalent preferred.
