DESIRED SKILLS: Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical, Mechanical, or related field. • Experience: 10-12 years of hands-on experience in product validation, reliability testing, or test engineering preferably in sensors or automotive, medical domain • Experience in DV/PV test plan preparation, test execution, data analysis and test reports. • Strong knowledge of environmental, mechanical, and electrical testing methods. • Demonstrated expertise in vibration testing (random, sinusoidal, swept-sine), mechanical shock, and combined temperature-vibration environments. • Proficiency with vibration control systems and shaker hardware (e.g., Data Physics, LDS, IMC, or equivalent platforms). • Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., LabVIEW, Python) and data acquisition systems. • Expertise in ISO 17025, IATF, AEC-Q qualification Test methodologies is a must. • Skilled in use of DAQ, Oscilloscopes, Lab Instruments, Pressure / Vibration / Humidity, Climatic chambers, etc Job Overview The Senior Test Engineer will play a critical role in the setup, execution, and analysis of DV, PV, and Qualification testing for sensor products including Pressure, MEMS, Resolver, Humidity, and Position Sensors, with a primary focus on Vibration Testing, Combined Temperature and Vibration (CTV), Mechanical Shock, and Environmental Reliability Testing. This role demands deep hands-on expertise in mechanical and environmental stress testing, strong analytical capability, and thorough command of international test standards and methodologies. Operating from the central T&V Lab in Bangalore, the engineer collaborates closely with global engineering teams to ensure all validation activities meet defined standards, cost targets, and schedule goals. A key dimension of this role is also the active mentoring, coaching, and capability development of fellow colleagues in the lab. KEY RESPOSBILITIES: Lead the planning, setup, and execution of Combined Temperature and Vibration (CTV) testing, Mechanical Shock, and Environmental Reliability tests for sensor products across automotive, medical, and industrial applications. • Define and develop vibration test profiles (random, sinusoidal, swept-sine) and shock pulse parameters in accordance with applicable standards and customer-specific requirements. • Configure and operate vibration test systems, shaker tables, and associated control systems (e.g., LDS, IMC, Data Physics, or equivalent) integrated with thermal chambers for combined environment testing. • Develop and validate fixture designs for vibration and shock testing to ensure accurate load transmission and minimize test artifacts. • Develop and own mechanical and environmental test methods, procedures, and fixtures in full compliance with ISO 17025 lab requirements. • Perform structural and dynamic response analysis of sensor assemblies to support test planning and failure analysis. • Lead root cause investigations for shock induced or any other test failure modes, including fatigue, solder joint cracking, connector fretting, resonance-related failures, etc. • Plan and execute validation and reliability tests for sensor products in accordance with global and customer-specific standards. • Interpret and apply standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 17025, ISO 13485, AEC-Q100/102/103. • Develop test plans, procedures, and reports aligned with product requirements and regulatory needs documentation in compliance with ISO 17025 requirements. • Operate and maintain test equipment for electrical, mechanical, and environmental testing for maintenance, calibration and test efficiency. • Analyze test data using statistical tools (e.g., Minitab), identify trends, and recommend design or process improvements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, quality, and manufacturing to resolve technical issues. • Collaborate with global design and validation teams to align test scope, timeline and acceptance criteria. • Contribute to lab standardization and continuous improvement initiatives in test methods, automation, and lab efficiency. • Ensure Test activities are executed safely in compliance with EHS safety, quality, and documentation standards in the lab environment • Mentor junior engineers and technicians in test execution and data interpretation to build sustained lab capability.
