Starting Salary: From $70,000 annually, with higher compensation available based on experience.

Position Summary

We are looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to help support workplace safety initiatives in a manufacturing and fabrication setting. This position works closely with employees and supervisors to identify hazards, encourage safe work practices, assist with safety training, and help maintain compliance with company and regulatory safety requirements.

This is a hands-on role that requires spending time on the production floor, building positive relationships with employees, and helping create a safe and productive work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Workplace Safety

  • Spend time throughout the production and fabrication areas observing daily operations.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend practical safety improvements.
  • Encourage employees to follow established safety procedures.
  • Help foster a positive workplace culture centered on safety and accountability.

Compliance & Inspections

  • Conduct routine workplace inspections and safety observations.
  • Document safety concerns and monitor corrective actions until resolved.
  • Assist with maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable safety regulations.
  • Recommend process improvements that reduce workplace risks.

Training & Communication

  • Assist with new employee safety orientation and onboarding.
  • Support safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ongoing employee training.
  • Provide daily guidance on safe work practices.
  • Communicate safety expectations and company initiatives across departments.

Incident Management

  • Assist with reporting workplace injuries, incidents, and near-miss events.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Help develop corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Verify corrective actions are completed and documented.

Safety Program Administration

  • Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training documentation, and compliance files.
  • Support internal audits and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of safety programs and workplace procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Risk Management, Industrial Technology, or a related field. Equivalent education and experience will also be considered.
  • Two or more years of experience in workplace safety, EHS, manufacturing, industrial operations, or risk management preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices, hazard recognition, and incident investigation procedures.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees, supervisors, and leadership across multiple departments.
  • Professional certifications such as ASP , CSP , or similar credentials are preferred.
