About The Role

Job Title : Front Desk Duty Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • This position plays a central role within the Front Office, providing high-quality guest service and ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • The role involves overseeing front desk functions, leading the team, and coordinating with other departments to enhance guest satisfaction and overall service quality.

JOB OVERVIEW/RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Service & Front Office Operations

  • Manage all front desk operations including check-in, check-out, and VIP guest services
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner
  • Coordinate room assignments, upgrades, and special requests
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and pleasant lobby and front office environment

Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead and support front office team members to ensure effective performance
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to maintain service standards
  • Manage work schedules and ensure smooth shift handovers

Reservations & Revenue Support

  • Monitor room availability, rates, and reservations to support occupancy levels
  • Work closely with reservations and other departments

Cross-Department Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Coordinate effectively with Housekeeping, F&B, and other departments
  • Identify and support improvements to operational processes

Safety, Security & Financial Support

  • Ensure compliance with hotel safety and security procedures
  • Assist with financial tasks including cash handling and reporting

Training and support will be provided to help you succeed in the role.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education and Qualification
  • Valid working visa in Japan
  • Skills

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to ensure smooth operations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Language Skills
  • Business level or above in English
  • Competencies
  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
  • Flexibility to turn challenges into seamless guest experiences
  • Natural leadership with strong decision-making skills
  • Friendly, polite, and professional attitude toward guests and colleagues

  • Experience
  • Prior experience in the hotel or resort industry
  • Experience working in winter resorts or tourism operations
  • Education and Qualification
  • Valid Driver’s License (Japanese, international, or foreign driver’s license with an official Japanese Translation)
  • Skills
  • Experience in improving operational efficiency and workflows
  • Experience using hotel reservation or property management systems (PMS)
  • Language Skills
  • Conversational level or above in Japanese
  • Competencies
  • Passion for winter tourism, resort operations, and seasonal activities

Employment Terms and Condition

Contract Period & Renewal

  • Contract Period: 11/2/2026 - 3/30/2027
  • Contract renewal: Applicable
  • Reason of Renewal:
  • Employee’s work performance and attitude.
  • Company’s business demands.

Duty, Work Location & Scope of Changes

  • Duty: may be changed as determined by the company
  • Initial Work Location: one of the company’s properties in Niseko Area or Rusutsu, Hokkaido
  • Scope of changes: company properties in Niseko Area, Rusutsu or Furano.
  • Training may be conducted at other location.
  • Employees may be required to work at different properties based on operational needs.
  • The initial assignment will be determined by the company.

Commuting & Workplace policy

  • Private Vehicle Commuting: Not permitted
  • Measures to prevent passive smoking: indoor smoking prohibited

Working hours, Days off & Overtime

  • Working hours / Shift schedule: Up to 8 hours between 06:00 to 22:00
  • Days off: two days off per week (based on shift schedule)
  • Overtime: Yes
  • Monthly Average Overtime Hours: 10 hours per month
  • 36-Article Agreement (overtime): Applicable (Due to seasonal factors and a high concentration of orders from general customers, periods of increased workload are expected)

Salary Package / Benefit

  • Salary: 2,000 yen / per hour ~
  • Subsidized Ski Pass on your location or Recreational Allowance
