The Amazon Co-brand Credit Card team develops applications to enable customers to apply for the Amazon Rewards Visa Card, take advantage of financial offers and incentives, pay for purchases using various methods such as reward points, manage their credit card account online, and help them maintain healthy financial habits by monitoring for fraud and increasing expenses. This is a critical program for Consumer Payments, with high leadership visibility, and an opportunity for delivering significant business value.

As a Software Development Engineer on the team you will have an opportunity to make an impact on the software design, development, delivery, and support of payment solutions built natively in AWS. You will be exposed to a wide range of complex business problems with the opportunity to innovate at each step, exploring and learning new technologies in web development, machine learning, and Big Data to solve Amazon scale problems for our customers.

About the team

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life & AD&D insurance), Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP), Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), paid time off, and other resources to improve health and well-being.
