2nd Fix Carpenter

To install and finish internal carpentry components to a high standard, ensuring quality workmanship, compliance with drawings, and adherence to health and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install internal doors, door frames, architraves, and ironmongery (handles, locks, hinges, door closers, etc.)
• Fit skirting boards, dado rails, and decorative mouldings.
• Install fitted furniture, wardrobes, cabinets, and shelving.
• Fit kitchen units, worktops, and associated joinery.
• Install window boards and internal timber finishes.
• Carry out finishing and snagging to a high standard of accuracy and appearance.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Inspect completed work and rectify defects where necessary.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Coordinate with site managers, other trades, and subcontractors.
• Assist with other site duties when required

Requirements

• Proven experience as a 2nd Fix Carpenter or Finish Carpenter.
• Ability to work from technical drawings and plans.
• High attention to detail and quality of finish.
• Competent in the use of hand and power tools.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of current health and safety regulations
