About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Partner Channel Manager to drive growth across Bluecurrent’s partner channel, with a strong focus on property developers, builders, electrical companies, and large-scale connection projects.

This role plays a critical part in Bluecurrent’s expansion in New Zealand, working closely with internal commercial teams and external partners to deliver revenue growth, profitability, and outstanding partner experience. You’ll bring a strong business development mindset, act as the voice of the customer, and help shape strategy and priorities across the partner channel.

Reporting to the GM Sales NZ, this is a highly visible role with broad stakeholder engagement and the opportunity to make a genuine impact on business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include

Develop and implement partner strategies and operating models that support sustainable growth

Strengthen existing relationships and build new partnerships with property developers, builders and electrical companies

Support pre‑sales activity, contract negotiation, and bid management in collaboration with commercial teams

Manage retailer relationships on large developments to ensure smooth delivery through to livening

Position Bluecurrent as a provider of choice for new connections and upgrades

Bring a proactive business development mindset to identify, assess, and execute growth opportunities

Deliver high‑quality customer service and build trusted relationships across a diverse partner base

Act as the voice of the customer internally, influencing planning and prioritisation

Provide reporting and insights that enable performance measurement and decision‑making

Monitor and share market insights, including emerging trends in the NZ and global energy markets

About you

You’ll be a commercially minded relationship builder who thrives in complex, fast‑moving environments. You’ll likely bring:

Proven experience in sales, sales operations, or business development roles

Strong stakeholder management capability, including working with project managers and commercial partners

A customer‑centric, outcomes‑focused approach

The ability to identify opportunities, negotiate terms, and deliver against growth targets

Curiosity around process improvement and operational effectiveness

Strong Microsoft Office capability

Experience in the energy sector (highly desirable)
