About the role

Want to lead teams that build meaningful, high-impact software used by Bluecurrent customers every day? We’re looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to join our Software Engineering leadership team and help shape the future of our digital platforms.

In this role, you’ll balance people leadership and technical direction - empowering engineers to do their best work while ensuring we deliver reliable, scalable solutions that support business growth.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Grow Teams

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of software engineers.
• Foster a collaborative, inclusive culture focused on learning, quality, and continuous improvement.

Deliver Value

• Set clear goals, manage priorities, and validate delivery across multiple initiatives.
• Plan resources, estimate effort, and manage external delivery partners where required.

Provide Technical Leadership

• Guide the evolution of core business platforms, including Data Management, Field Service Management, and CRM.
• Support teams in solving complex technical challenges and making sound architectural decisions.

Partner with the Business

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand customer needs and translate them into effective technical outcomes.
• Ensure solutions meet quality, security, and reliability expectations.
• About you

We’re ideally looking for

• Proven experience leading and mentoring software engineering teams.
• Strong delivery and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Solid technical background in modern software development and delivery practices.

Experience or exposure to the following is highly valued

• Agile and traditional delivery methodologies
• Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
• CI/CD pipelines, version control, and containerisation
• Security and assurance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 2700x)
• Full-stack development (Java and/or Python)
