[What the role is]

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment.

We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore’s built environment.

[What you will be working on]

  • You will be part of the team that processes and approves the structural plans and calculations of the buildings submitted by Professional Engineers and Accredited Checkers.
  • You are required to perform audit checks on selected structures, conduct construction site checks and take proactive actions to prevent damages to adjacent properties.
  • You are also expected to investigate into complaints on buildings that are dangerous and assess their structural integrity and safety.
  • You will also be involved in the review of policies and regulations related to the safety of the Built Environment.

[What we are looking for]

  • A degree in civil and structural engineering.
  • At least 4 years of working experience in structural design and analysis of buildings or infrastructures.
  • Passed the Practice of Professional Engineering Examination (PPE), and preferably a registered professional engineer with Professional Engineers Board Singapore.
