About The Role

  • Deliver Road Safety presentations to engage with various stakeholders (schools/businesses)
  • Identify opportunities to deliver training
  • Create engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, handouts to ensure full attention
  • Inspire road safety behavior change
  • Deliver training sessions in a variety of formats, including classroom-style, virtual, and on-the-job training
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training through feedback
  • Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct, and at all times adopt behaviour in accordance with SGS Equality & Diversity policy
  • At all times adopt a safe and professional behaviour by exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues and members of the public, in line with the Company’s policies and procedures

The educational programs cover all aspects of road safety, including

  • Walking
  • Cycling
  • Using public transport
  • Being a passenger
  • Encouraging safe road practices
  • Protecting Vulnerable Road Users
  • Addressing dangerous behaviors on Irish roads
  • Candidates should have a third-level qualification in education or training or exceptional experience in one of these areas. Train The Trainer certification would be beneficial.
  • Excellent presentation and demonstration skills delivering road safety expertise to the public through various methods, including face-to-face, online, on stage at events, and during nationwide demonstrations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders throughout the organisation.
  • Knowledge of data protection compliance and a clear grasp of child protection issues are essential.
  • Efficient schedule management for optimal service delivery, effective promotion of road safety campaigns, and the ability to develop and maintain a network of contacts nationwide are key.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary, with the ability to engage effectively with all age groups.
  • The candidate must be self-driven, adaptable to different age groups, and able to deliver learning in a fun, animated, and interactive way.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and collaboratively in a Team.
  • Passion, patience, enthusiasm, and high energy are important traits for a genuine drive to make a difference in communities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams, is required.
  • A full clean driving license in category "B" is needed.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory, and fluency in Irish is an advantage.
