Position: Senior Estimator

Location: Quezon City

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Role Overview

The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for refurbishment and repair works within the home for the aged / aged care industry. The role focuses on reviewing externally prepared scopes of work and translating them into detailed and reliable costing submissions for tender purposes, ensuring alignment with the specific requirements and sensitivities of aged care environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction and refurbishment projects
  • Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to ensure complete and competitive tender submissions
  • Manage the full tendering process, including preparation, coordination, and submission of bids across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Interpret and develop scope of work documents to ensure alignment with project requirements and pricing accuracy
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, suppliers, and contractors to validate costs and project requirements
  • Provide strategic input on pricing, cost control, and value engineering opportunities
  • Identify risks, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities during the estimation process
  • Oversee and mentor junior estimators, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all estimates
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and deliver excellent customer service
  • Ensure compliance with company KPIs, policies, and industry standards
  • Continuously improve estimating processes and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in project estimation within construction or refurbishment projects
  • Strong exposure to on-site construction and solid understanding of project execution processes
  • In-depth knowledge of cost estimation tools, methodologies, and industry standards
  • Demonstrated capability and readiness to transition into a leadership role
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Prior Australian estimating experience is highly desirable and considered a plus.
