Migration Analyst

Avanade is growing rapidly in Microsoft’s Mid-market and Corporate space (the upper end of what Microsoft calls its SME&C segment) and has embarked in a journey to transform the IT Services market in that space. Avanade is already serving hundreds of SME&C clients across AI Business Solutions, Cloud & AI Platforms, and Security. Our focus now is structure and repeatability — packaging 25 years of enterprise experience into scalable, predictable motions designed specifically for SME&C. To enable this- we have launched a dedicated SME&C Business Unit which will have Solution specific ‘Catalyst Squads’ which will be virtual teams taking an opportunity for prepackaged and repeatable ‘Catalyst Solutions’ from qualified lead through to delivery completion. As a Migration Analyst within a Catalyst Squad, this role supports the assessment, planning and execution of cloud migration and modern infrastructure work, helping translate repeatable solution patterns into practical delivery plans for SME&C clients. The role contributes hands-on migration, Azure and hybrid cloud expertise while working closely with squad leads, solution architects, sales teams and delivery teams to accelerate client outcomes, improve delivery predictability and support scalable Catalyst Solution execution across markets. Key Accountabilities: Planning and design of the desired relationships and operating models across our client’s software, hardware, networks, people and operations, to effectively operate in a Cloud oriented environment. Additionally, apply your expertise in technical and consulting knowledge to advise clients on proper governance to ensure stability, and to enable them to evolve their environments to support changing business requirements. . Key Role Skill & Capability Requirements: Cloud transformation and migration solutions, infrastructure solutions, cloud technologies, networking, data center operations, platform migration Consulting focused on infrastructure modernization and migration to Azure (IaaS/Paas) Infrastructure migration or data center migration Cloud automation Cloud Security Application modernization and containers Operation management, systems security, testing, databases and mobility considerations Up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft products Ability to gain an understanding of customer process and issues, and communicate them back Ability to work in teams and individually when needed Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience working with global teams on projects Experience working with offshore teams to facilitate project work Demonstrated excellence in communicating and presenting complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, both verbally and in written form Display leadership by establishing goals for the team and members of the team Be savvy with problem-solving Be a point of contact for clients Preferred Certifications: Desired certifications to be determined by hiring manager in partnership with Market Unit/ Practice Preferred Education Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Engineering, MIS or related field. equivalent combination of education d experience will also suffice. Preferred Years of Work Experience: 2+ years of prior related work experience, preferably in a technology or consulting environment Scope of Work: Work must be coordinated across different workstreams, processes, or projects. Key Performance Indicators: Will include individual goals and may include annual scorecard metrics .
