In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Provide engineering support to global business functions in matters related to product design, performance, reliability, and technical problem-solving.
  • Support Supply Chain activities through the evaluation, qualification, and implementation of existing and new materials and components.
  • Collaborate closely with Design Laboratories to define, execute, and evaluate product, component, and material testing activities.
  • Identify alternative materials and components, assess their suitability, and support implementation initiatives that improve product availability, quality, and cost competitiveness.
  • Develop and implement product optimization initiatives focused on cost reduction, manufacturing efficiency, functionality, performance, reliability, and product lifecycle improvement.
  • Lead and support engineering change management processes, including the formal initiation, evaluation, documentation, and implementation of product and component changes.
  • Analyze technical data, manufacturing processes, and product performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and risk reduction.
  • Participate in cross-functional and international projects as both a project team member and project leader, ensuring successful execution of engineering deliverables.
  • Provide technical recommendations based on engineering analysis, testing results, and industry best practices to support informed business decisions.

For This Role, You Will Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar engineering role supporting product development, sustaining engineering, or product optimization activities.
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret technical drawings, engineering specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with measurement tools and engineering validation methods.
  • Strong understanding of material science, including metals, elastomers, and plastics.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing technologies and production processes, including machining, casting, and injection molding.
  • Very good command of English, both written and spoken, allowing effective communication within a global organization.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart

  • Experience supporting product qualification, validation, and testing activities.
  • Familiarity with engineering change management (ECN/ECO) processes.
  • Experience working in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a structured approach to root cause analysis.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and work under deadlines.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
