Job Purpose: The Head - Projects-ACSL provides strategic leadership for the planning, execution, and delivery of district cooling system (DCS) projects across India, ensuring alignment with the Adani Group’s growth objectives and investment mandate. This role oversees the end-to-end management of Greenfield and Brownfield initiatives within the design-build-own-operate (DBOO) framework, driving project timelines, budget adherence, and quality excellence. The position focuses on optimizing resources, mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. By fostering a culture of accountability and innovation, the role supports the accelerated expansion of ACSL’s DCS portfolio, contributing to sustainable business growth, operational excellence, and long-term project success.

Strategic Leadership and Planning

Drive project success by overseeing the entire execution lifecycle, ensuring projects align with organizational goals, are completed on time, and stay within budget.

Ensure project success by aligning objectives with business strategy, implementing comprehensive plans, tracking milestones, and optimizing resource allocation to meet project goals efficiently.

Integrate technology and best practices by leveraging advanced project management tools, ensuring optimized project execution, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.

Project Execution and Monitoring

Ensure timely and within-budget delivery by developing, tracking, and adjusting project timelines, mitigating risks, and optimizing resources across all DCS projects.

Monitor quality and compliance by reviewing deliverables and ensuring they meet specifications, minimizing delays, rework, and non-compliance.

Ensure timely delivery and quality by coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to meet deadlines and deliver products or services that adhere to specifications.

Quality Assurance and Risk Management

Maintain project quality by implementing quality control measures and ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards, reducing defects and improving project execution.

Mitigate risks by identifying issues early, implementing corrective actions, and maintaining project progression without disruptions.

Promote continuous improvement by analysing project data, identifying inefficiencies, and incorporating best practices that reduce costs and enhance overall project delivery.

Stakeholder Management

Enhance project success by fostering relationships with internal teams, clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on progress and challenges.

Provide transparent reporting by delivering regular updates on project status, risks, and performance metrics, enabling proactive decision-making and issue resolution.

Team Management

  • Lead a high-performing team by identifying training needs, implementing development programs, and fostering collaboration and accountability for high-quality results.
  • Ensure alignment with goals by defining responsibilities, promoting communication, and holding team members accountable for timely project delivery.

Compliance and HSE Management

  • Enforce HSE culture by ensuring all project activities comply with Adani Group’s QHSE standards, maintaining a safe environment, and aiming for zero incidents.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance by staying updated with industry legislation and ensuring projects adhere to applicable local, national, and international standards.

Educational Qualification

BE / B. Tech, ME / M. Tech – Electrical / Mechanical, PMP certification preferred

Work Experience (Range of years)

Minimum 15 years of experience

Work experience with leading organizations

Strong hands-on experience on the execution of green field and brownfield projects and good exposure on T&C and O&M aspects of the project, preferably in MEP/HVAC/Utilities/Real Estate sector.
